The Senior Training Engineer is a senior technical field leader responsible for driving complex training and optimization activities across industrial process systems. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, leading on site and in the office training programs and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact sessions across demanding industrial environments.

The Senior Training Engineer brings deep expertise in cement and heavy industrial processes, combining advanced technical knowledge with strong field leadership, customer engagement, problem-solving capability, and excellent communication skills. This role is accountable for ensuring execution excellence, resolving complex system-level issues, and identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, expand service offerings, and enhance customer operational outcomes through training sessions. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Training Engineer plays a critical role in strengthening customer relationships, improving asset performance, and supporting long-term service growth and reliability outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads field execution for complex installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operational optimization and training solutions
  • Directs and coordinates multi-disciplinary field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution
  • Owns technical execution outcomes for assigned projects, including schedule, quality, and performance targets
  • Conducts advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system-level problem solving
  • Evaluates equipment and process performance and identifies system-wide improvement opportunities
  • Advises customers and contractors on technical procedures, operational decisions, and compliance with specifications
  • Leads customer training sessions and operational readiness programs
  • Partners with engineering and technical support teams to develop and implement solutions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field; equivalent technical and commercial experience will be considered
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in heavy industrial environments, preferably within the cement industry or closely related sectors; advancement in process engineering, commissioning, or advanced field service roles
  • Strong experience with industrial process systems and equipment such as mills, kilns, coolers, and material handling systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading field teams in complex industrial environments
  • Proven ability to independently resolve complex technical and operational issues
  • Experience delivering technical training and customer-facing advisory support
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a strong advantage.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

  • Regular access to and navigation of industrial plant environments, including walking long distances across sites, working on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating in proximity to heavy machinery.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times in field environments.
