Senior Traffic Engineer
Location: Any Fishbeck Michigan Regional Office
Employment Type: Full Time
Working with our Transportation team in Michigan, you will lead complex transportation design projects from concept through construction, support client relationships, mentor junior staff, and help grow Fishbeck's Michigan transportation practice.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and development of traffic engineering components, including maintenance of traffic plans, signing and pavement marking layouts, and traffic signal systems.
Ensure project work complies with MDOT standards, the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and applicable design guidelines.
Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and construction cost estimates.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communication.
Mentor and support junior staff while coordinating with other disciplines and regional offices.
Collaborate with clients, local agencies, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions.
What We're Looking For
