A Day in the LifeCathWorks, now part of Medtronic’s Coronary & Renal Denervation business, is advancing coronary physiology assessment through FFRangio™, a non-invasive, angiography-based technology that helps physicians evaluate coronary artery disease without the need for pressure wires. This organization partners closely with Interventional Cardiology teams to support physician education, clinical adoption, and utilization of coronary physiology solutions that drive informed treatment decisions and improved patient care.
This field-based role supports customer accounts, physicians, and Medtronic commercial teams across an assigned geography. The position requires significant travel to hospitals, catheterization laboratories, physician offices, customer meetings, and training programs. Work is performed primarily in clinical environments and in direct partnership with customers and internal stakeholders. Final candidate must have valid driver's license, active car insurance, and meet company driving record standards.
As the regional clinical and technical expert for the coronary physiology portfolio, this role is responsible for physician education, customer activation, workflow integration, and procedural adoption of FFRangio. The Regional Technical Consultant partners across commercial, clinical, medical, and marketing functions to build customer competency, accelerate utilization, and support business growth through effective education and training initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead physician, catheterization laboratory, and Medtronic field training programs focused on FFRangio workflow integration, image acquisition, physiology interpretation, and clinical application.
- Execute customer onboarding, account activation, and procedural adoption programs to support successful technology implementation.
- Provide on-site and remote clinical application support during evaluations, launches, and routine customer utilization.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for coronary physiology solutions, offering education, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance.
- Identify and develop physician champions and key stakeholders to support sustained utilization and account growth.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Training teams to align educational initiatives with commercial objectives.
- Support new product launches, software updates, market development activities, and strategic growth initiatives across the portfolio.
- Collect and communicate customer feedback, market insights, and clinical observations to cross-functional partners to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience OR an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience as a commercial or Clinical Specialist within the medical device industry
- (3) years of experience working in the sterile environment of a cath lab or operating room required.
- Experience delivering clinical, physician, or healthcare professional education in a customer-facing environment.
- Ability to travel extensively (60-70%) throughout an assigned geography, including overnight travel.
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements and work within catheterization laboratory environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Interventional Cardiology, Coronary Physiology, Structural Heart, Peripheral Vascular, Coronary Imaging, or catheterization laboratory settings.
- Experience supporting commercial launches, market development initiatives, and new technology adoption programs.
- Strong knowledge of coronary angiography, coronary physiology assessment, and interventional cardiology workflows.
- Demonstrated success influencing physician adoption, utilization growth, and customer competency development.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. a7 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$125,000.00 - $140,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
