About the role:We are looking to support our business development in the automotive domain. In this role, you will work directly with the EU Automotive Lead as their HQ counterpart, representing the European automotive business inside Sunnyvale and deputizing for them across internal forums. You will partner cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams. This is a uniquely strategic and operational role with a mix of both internal and external-facing responsibilities.
At Applied Intuition, you will:- Engage with potential customers identified predominantly from other Applied Intuition teams or organically based on the candidate's understanding of the ecosystem
- Use customer discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and potential solutions from Applied Intuition
- Host customer workshops and organize tailored demonstrations to explain Applied Intuition's solutions to customers
- Develop final customer solutions with Applied Intuition's Product and Engineering teams for existing products, or support creation of new products for new concepts
- Iterate with customers on technical scope and business model, and guide the proposal through approvals at the customer
- Plan revenue strategy and outlook for these specific solutions in both automotive and other adjacent domains
- Act as the HQ bridge for the EU automotive business: represent European accounts and active deals toward Product and Engineering in Sunnyvale, and own the time-zone handoff on live European engagements
- Own deal qualification (MEDDPICC or equivalent) for European opportunities and drive solution proposals end to end
- Deputize for the EU Automotive Lead in planning, resourcing, and escalation discussions at HQ
We're looking for someone who has:- 5+ years in automotive software (ADAS/AD, SDV, simulation and validation) in technical business development, pre-sales, or solutions engineering
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven ability to work across stakeholders to execute complex projects
- Strong interest and capability to work with customers and drive customer engagements
- Strong software engineering foundation (C++/Python) and working knowledge of SDV workflows, SIL/HIL toolchains, or AUTOSAR-adjacent stacks
- Experience working with or selling to European OEMs; comfort with European engineering and procurement culture
- Willingness to hold regular EU time-zone overlap and travel to Europe (~25%)
- US work authorization; based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area
Nice to have:- Experience working on a product at a startup from Series A to IPO
- German language skills
- Time spent inside a European OEM or Tier-1 software organization
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
