Full Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced EA or CPA to be part of our team. The candidate should be expert-level in preparing individual, entity, and fiduciary tax returns, and have a strong background in accounting. The Senior Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing returns, reviewing returns, tax research as needed, and communicating directly with clients and IRS/states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, corporate, nonprofit and trust tax returns for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with other members of the tax department to address client needs and deliver exceptional service.
  • Stay current on emerging tax issues, legislation, and industry trends to effectively advise clients and mitigate risk.
  • Assist with tax notices and inquiries as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, nonprofit and trust tax returns, tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx), Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks online/desktop.
