About the Role

The Senior Tax Manager oversees all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. This role will be an integral part of a small team with the goal of leading client engagements and delivering excellent service to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
  • Work directly with sophisticated high net worth and UHNW clients, using superior communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong experience using tax software with CCH Tax, Practice, and Engagement.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments
  • Mentor and develop team members through training, delegation, and leadership support
  • Ability to apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to clients and be able to identify where they may impact a client and recommend strategies
  • Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate
  • Proactive, self-motivated, well organized, and possess the ability to manage work effectively with others while managing client relationships
  • Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team
  • Superior attention to detail


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA
  • At least 7+ years of experience in a CPA firm
  • Experience with tax preparation and accounting
  • Experience in public accounting strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to professionally engage with high net worth clients, verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency working with MS Office and tax software


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with compiled and reviewed financial statements
  • Experience with Click Up, CCH/Engagement, and QuickBooks


Work Environment, Compensation, and Benefits

We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, this position offers a performance bonus, which will be paid at the discretion of the company, as well as the potential opportunity to participate in a long-term incentive program, subject to role scope, performance, and company discretion.

This position is preferred as an in-office role, reporting to our Tucson, AZ office 5 days per week. A hybrid work arrangement may be available for this position following successful onboarding and demonstrated performance.
