Job Overview:We are looking for a
Senior Tax Manager in
Oradell, NJ that will partner with financial advisors and the Director of Tax Services to identify tax-saving opportunities, support wealth planning strategies, and ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. Provides guidance on complex tax issues while helping clients navigate changing tax regulations and minimize tax liabilities.
Responsibilities:- Lead the preparation and review of complex individual, fiduciary, partnership and corporate tax returns, with a focus on insights and advisory in addition to compliance.
- Responsible for performing the final review and signing of tax returns
- Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax planning into comprehensive wealth management strategies for clients including evaluating the tax implications of investment decisions, estate planning, charitable giving, and retirement strategies
- Serve as a trusted tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families, focusing on proactive tax strategies that compliment their financial plan and investment strategy
- Analyze realized/unrealized gains, income distributions, and tax-loss harvesting opportunities in coordination with the investment team
- Review and facilitate tax projections for clients and advisors
- Provide review notes to tax department staff to ensure accuracy and a dynamic learning environment
- Ensure all tax returns meet firm standards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Support Marketing and compliance by serving as subject matter experts for articles, and communications with tax law or detail included
- Support the Director of Tax Services in leading and mentoring Senior Tax Specialists and Tax Specialists, responsibilities include delivering training on tax law updates, and regulatory compliance and operational procedures, as well as reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA license required
- 15 years of tax experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks; experience with tax software (CCH AXCESS, CCH Workflow, CCH Collaboration, ShareFile, DocuSign) preferred

- Proven ability to work effectively across departments and directly with financial advisors and clients in a professional, service-oriented manner
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage high-volume workflow and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy when reviewing complex tax returns
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Occasional travel may be required
- This role offers a hybrid work arrangement throughout the year; however, full-time onsite attendance is required during the tax season. The position also requires flexibility to work extended hours during peak workload periods to ensure timely completion of client deliverables and compliance deadlines.

- Salary range: $160,000-$190,000
- Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point of market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and most importantly, performance in the job role
