Responsibilities- Contributing to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns, thereby enhancing long-term working relationships with clients.
- Preparing and self-reviewing work products for completeness and accuracy and preparing them for client delivery. Work product focus will include a concentration on high-net-worth individuals, fiduciary tax, not for profit compliance and entity tax filings.
- Preparing work papers based on professional standards. Processing data and converting it to a reviewable product.
- Assisting in the research of complex tax issues and in the development of quality, practical income tax planning services. Working within a small team environment to deliver integrated family office services to clients.
- Aiding in the preparation of various time-sensitive client requests and planning opportunities.
- Facilitating communications and providing ample assistance to team members by sharing knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery. Maintain a personal commitment to continuing education.
- Contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 4-6 years of related work experience in a tax or family office practice; an emphasis on individual and fiduciary experience is critical; and other competencies including pass through, gift tax or not for profit
- A commitment to learning and developing in an exacting tax environment within a growth business
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in compliance technology applications including Pro Systems, BNA Income Tax planner and Microsoft products.
- MBA or MS in Taxation a plus
- CPA or CPA exam parts passed preferred
- Knowledge of CCH Engagement a plus
- CCH Axcess Tax and BNA Income Tax Planner

Pay InformationThis position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of New York. The pay range for this position is $103,000 - $130,000 USD per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
Physical Requirements- This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
