Full Job Description
What you'll own
Build and lead the talent acquisition strategy and execution, attracting highly specialized talent ideally in the energy, power, and infrastructure sectors, including power developers, energy analysts, land and permitting specialists, and project finance professionals.
You'll own the full search lifecycle, and your added value starts before the hiring need comes to you: understanding where the business is going, mapping the talent market ahead of need, and building the relationships that make hard-to-fill roles a success.
You'll partner closely with Hut 8's leadership team, becoming fluent in the markets we operate in and be a trusted partner to bring them the talent required to scale the business.
Specifically:
. Serve as a strategic talent acquisition partner, translate business priorities into hiring plans, flag market constraints early, and bring your point of view on how to compete for niche talent in the energy, power, and infrastructure market
. Build and maintain a live pipeline of specialized energy talent through industry conferences, professional associations, and direct outreach, not just when there's an open role
. Develop a working knowledge of the energy, power and infrastructure markets deep enough to hold credible conversations with candidates and hiring managers about the work itself
. Own the candidate experience end-to-end, from first contact through offer, with the speed and transparency that competitive energy talent expects
. Track and share market intelligence on compensation, talent availability, and competitor hiring activity to inform Hut 8's positioning
What we're looking for
You've recruited specialized talent in energy, power, infrastructure, or a closely adjacent field, and you understand the difference between posting a job and actually finding the people who don't apply. You've worked directly with senior stakeholders and know how to push back, not just execute. You're comfortable building from scratch in a company that moves fast.
. Experience recruiting for specialized roles in energy, power, infrastructure, or an adjacent field either in-house or on the agency side - you can speak credibly about the market, not just source from it
. Ability to earn trust with senior leaders - you advise, not just report
. Strong market knowledge: you know where to find talent, what motivates them, and how to reach them
. Understanding of the energy and power industry, with genuine curiosity to go deeper
. Comfortable holding structure and rigor across multiple searches simultaneously without losing urgency or attention to detail
. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is energized by ambiguity rather than slowed by it
. Must be based in Miami, onsite five days a week
