Role SummaryWe are seeking a
Senior Systems Integration Engineer to lead the technical realization of our next-generation warehouse robotic solutions. This is a high-stakes role focused on the integration, validation, and performance of robots in a fully automated warehouse environment, where you will sit at the intersection of Mechanical Engineering, Software, AI, and Operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our robots don't just work, but perform at a superhuman level, optimizing throughput, perfecting grasp performance, and leading high-profile demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities- Involve deeply in the full system life cycle, including system definition, testing, and deployment of the next-generation hardware, with a specialized focus on the rapid deployment of robotic features.
- Own and execute the robot picking and packing performance roadmap. You will utilize metrics to pinpoint mechanical or software bottlenecks and implement aggressive optimizations to improve throughput.
- Collaborate with robotics software and AI vision teams to define and roadmap cutting-edge features to maximize operational efficiency and improve robotic grasp-ability, robustness and reliability.
- Serve as the primary technical lead for robotic warehouse programs and production deployment. Ensure the robot fleet performance meet production SLA.
- Conduct deep-dive technical investigations into performance regressions and lead hypothesis validation/testing for complex edge cases.
Qualifications- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics systems integration, hardware validation, or mechatronics.
- Proven expertise in optimizing performance metrics and managing the interplay between robotic systems and control software.
- A track record of leading "end-to-end" projects, from initial validation in a lab setting to successful deployment in a high-volume production environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills; ability to use data to drive mechanical and software engineering changes.
- Ability to represent Nimble's technology to elite-level stakeholders and translate complex technical performance into clear strategic updates.
CompensationThe pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be
between $160,000 and $190,000/year. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this position will also receive generous equity for this position.
