We have an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will work with the Pilot team as we help one of our clients to bring a new Electric Vehicle to the market. The role will be customer-facing and fast-paced. You will need to navigate ambiguity and take decisive action. You will be technically curious, transparent in your communication and be able to perceive problems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop requirements for various subsystems (Propulsion, Body, Chassis, Electrical and Safety), taking into consideration related regulations and standards.
- Design/Develop system concepts and architectures.
- Maintain traceability, of the system, to the requirements.
- Perform DFMEAs.
- Plan and execute testing and validation.
- Lead technical reviews.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar roles.
- Experience of working with Electric Vehicles and High Voltage Systems.
- Experience with UML / SysML.
- Controls algorithm design experience using Mathworks and/or C++.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) and associated development tools.
- Experience in system verification and validation testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documents and presentations.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and relevant SAE standards.
- Experience with AUTOSAR and functional safety.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Expertise in vehicle supervisory controls development using C++ / MATLAB / Simulink.
- Expertise in advanced diagnostics and prognostics.
- Experience with Battery Management Systems.
- Experience with Secured Gateway Modules.
- Expertise in Vector software tools.
