Full Job Description
Auria is looking to hire a Senior System Engineer to support the R2C2 program. Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) is the modernization of SatOps and Ground Communications for orbital warfare. This position is mostly REMOTE in the Colorado Springs, CO area with up to 50% travel.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Daily interactions with government/government representative subject matter experts on system architecture, development, and status of elements of the Agile management
  • Collaborate with Program Manager(s) to ensure development and support teams sprints and associated deliveries remain in alignment with the Product Owner's expectations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; capture and communicate as appropriate
  • Attend daily stand-ups and planning meetings, as required (virtually and/or physically)
  • Assist development and support teams with expertise, as needed


WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of proven systems engineering experience delivering high-consequence technical solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent foundational knowledge gained through formal technical apprenticeships and hands-on work experience.
  • Domain Knowledge: Working-level engineering skills with a recognized ability to independently lead and steer complex systems engineering initiatives.
  • Mission Outcome Orientation: Proven track record of navigating the critical "final 10%" of a project life cycle to successfully launch highly mission-critical capabilities into polished, operational products.
  • Autonomy & Accountability: Self-directed ownership of complex workloads and team execution plans, coupled with transparent risk communication, immediate roadblock escalation, and shared accountability for team decisions.
  • Integrity & Trust: Exceptional standard of professional integrity and ethics, with a commitment to doing what is right under pressure and holding oneself accountable for outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to have in-depth engineering discussion with government/government representative subject matter experts on system architecture, development, and status of elements of the Agile management
  • Security Clearance: Active U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required


WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

  • Satellite Communications: Direct engineering exposure to Satellite Communications (Satcom) space, ground, or network segments.
  • Modern Methodologies: Practical experience utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and working within Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Management: Program Management experience; specifically with Agile approach


PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $135,000 - $150,000
