The OpportunityAs a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a small, talented team building Collectly's core pre-service product. Our stack is Python-first, and we're looking for engineers who are comfortable designing and evolving backend systems in Python. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy working across the stack to deliver polished, user-facing experiences. You'll collaborate closely with the founder, engineering leadership, product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship high-quality, impactful features for healthcare providers and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to design and build a high-impact product.
- Build and ship critical features with intent, strong attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.
- Own features end to end, from shaping requirements and implementation to testing, observability, deployment, and iteration in production.
- Contribute to and help shape our engineering culture as the team grows.
Required Qualifications- You have 6+ years of experience building and operating complex web applications in production environments.
- You have strong experience building backend systems, ideally in Python using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- You're comfortable working across the stack. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy building thoughtful, user-facing experiences.
- You understand that velocity and quality aren't opposites. When well done, they're multiplicative.
- You think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations. You care about solving real customer problems, even when the requirements aren't perfectly defined.
- You prefer pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over theoretical perfection, and you know when "good and shipped" beats "perfect and late.
- You're comfortable owning features end-to-end, from vague ideas to production impact and iteration.
- You reside in the United States
