ABOUT THE TEAMThe Deployment Engineering team at Anduril is the cornerstone of product longevity and operational readiness. We champion sustainment as a first-class engineering discipline, deeply embedded in our product lifecycle. Our mission is to ensure that every Anduril product remains effective and reliable in the field, empowering our operators and customers with seamless support. We achieve this by partnering across engineering, operations, and external stakeholders, taking collective ownership of robust lifecycle management, comprehensive maintenance planning, technical data integrity, and strategic sparing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Architect Anduril's ILS/IPS digital toolchain from the ground up - designing integrated, automation-first workflows that collapse what traditionally takes teams of analysts months into repeatable processes that run in hours
- Define and own the authoritative Logistics Product Data (LPD) environment - a unified data model connecting FMECA, RCM, MTA, LORA, spares, provisioning, and technical data across programs. This single source of truth produces any contractual deliverable format on demand (GEIA-STD-0007, Power Log-J, MIL-STD-1388, provisioning documentation)
- Identify where AI and automation can accelerate sustainment analysis cycles, and build those capabilities into the toolchain
- Build integrations that propagate BOM changes, ECOs, and design decisions through sustainment artifacts automatically - replacing manual impact assessments with structured, tool-supported analysis tied to the LSA database
- Define the target-state sustainment toolchain architecture and lead the transition from legacy point-tools to an integrated environment - making build vs. integrate vs. replace decisions for each capability
- Drive feedback loops between field/depot operational data and sustainment planning models, ensuring estimates are continuously refined by reality rather than static assumptions
- Represent sustainment data architecture in enterprise PLM/ERP governance and cross-functional digital infrastructure decisions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years in sustainment engineering, logistics engineering, or ILS roles within defense or aerospace
- Deep practitioner experience in Logistics Support Analysis - has personally built FMECA, RCM, LORA, maintenance task analysis, or provisioning data (not just oversight or review)
- Demonstrated ability to structure and manage Logistics Product Data in accordance with the S-Series ILS framework (S1000D, S3000L) and GEIA-STD-0007, using standard logistics information systems (PowerLog-J, COMPASS, SLICwave, EAGLE, or equivalents)
- Python or scripting proficiency - able to build data connectors, extend automation, and prototype integrations
- Systems-level thinking in data models and architecture - can define how information flows between tools and organizations, not just how to use individual applications
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems (Teamcenter preferred) and understanding of how sustainment data integrates with ERP and configuration management
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel for on-site support, stakeholder engagement, and tool deployment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated interest in applying AI/automation to engineering workflows - has experimented with, prototyped, or deployed AI-assisted analysis toolsExperience with DoD 5000 series acquisition, CDRL management, and contractual deliverable compliance
- Systems-level thinking in data models and architecture - can define how information flows between tools and organizations, not just how to use individual applications
- Familiarity with S1000D technical publication standards and IETM authoring tools (RapidAuthor or equivalent)
- Understanding of Readiness-Based Sparing, supply chain data modeling, or provisioning workflows
- Prior experience at a defense prime frustrated by the pace of digital transformation - and a vision for how to do it differently
- Strong communication skills bridging technical sustainment language, software/data architecture concepts, and program management needs
- Proven ability to drive change against established legacy approaches in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace) or Computer Science/Information Systems
