Full Job Description
This role is part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Supply team responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning function to ensure optimal product availability while balancing inventory, capacity, and cost for the North America business unit. This role will play a critical part in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), driving alignment across demand planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to achieve service and financial targets & reports to the Director of IBP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and business goals
  • Develop mid- to long-term capacity and supply strategies to support growth and mitigate risks
  • Partner with Demand Planning to translate demand plans into feasible supply plans, Lead supply review meetings as part of the S&OP cycle
  • Provide scenario modeling and recommendation to address supply-demand imbalances after aligning with stakeholders on trade-offs between cost, service, and inventory
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Commercial teams to ensure execution of supply plans
  • Establish inventory policies, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies & Drive initiatives to improve service levels while reducing excess and obsolete inventory
  • Identify supply risks and develop contingency and mitigation plans
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives like implementation of a new SAP IBP Supply Module in North America so that it considers end-to-end costs, capacity constraints, metal availability, logistics costs and achievement of customer service objectives.
  • Continually evaluate and build upon current processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure continuity between planning and customer expectations.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8-12+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or supply chain management
  • Proven experience in S&OP / IBP processes
  • Strong understanding of ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis, OMP, Oracle)
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site or global supply chains
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite and SAP skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills: can work with large data sets to provide analytical support to all aspects of the business
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Chicago, IL based role


The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $124,200.00 and $186,400.00 per year. This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
