Position Summary: This role is built around client service, owning every aspect of field operations with insight and proactive judgment aimed at project success for clients, teammates, architects, engineers, specialty contractors, and every other stakeholder. The Senior Superintendent and Senior Project Manager share equal standing on a project - the two run in tandem with overlapping duties, complementary responsibilities, and shared accountability for the bottom line.

- Build and lead a strong jobsite team through communication, collaboration, and oversight of superintendents, assistant superintendents, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Own the RFI process end-to-end, coordinating with subcontractors, field staff, and design teams, and distributing timely responses to all affected parties.
- Support project pursuit efforts - schedules, logistics plans, field service estimates, and interview participation.
- Maintain all project documentation, including daily reports, superintendent deliverables, procurement logs, submittals, RFIs, inspection logs, change orders, and closeout materials.
- Conduct design and constructability reviews to confirm feasible means and methods.
- Implement and enforce job-specific safety plans, conduct regular inspections and weekly audits, and maintain accident reports and logs.
- Take part in preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
- Monitor and update project schedules, prepare micro-schedules or recovery fragments, and help assess schedule impacts.
- Help establish and communicate project success criteria and a vision for execution.
- Proactively lead field and design problem-solving to minimize project risk.
- Support development and management of the project expediting log.
- Keep projects on track to finish within contract/bid timeframes and budgets.
- Take part in procurement scope review meetings and project buyout processes.
- Proactively resolve warranty call-backs after project completion.
- Procure and expedite materials, equipment, subcontractor services, and owner-furnished items.
- Provide conflict resolution support on delegated projects.
- Prepare and administer subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Train, mentor, and develop superintendents, assistant superintendents, and departmental staff.
- Build and manage the project submittal log, reviewing for compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract terms, and coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, owners, and staff to stay aligned with the schedule.
- Support schedule development, maintenance, and tracking on delegated projects.
- Lead and participate in weekly subcontractor meetings, daily huddles, schedule and safety meetings, and OAC meetings with stakeholders.
- Support project managers and estimators on conceptual budgeting, planning, and scheduling.
- Supervise daily jobsite performance to ensure quality delivery for the client.
- Ensure timely electronic archiving and distribution of records for internal teams and trade partners.
- Perform on-site QA/QC inspections and coordinate testing, certifications, and commissioning to ensure compliance with project documents, codes, and specifications.
- Take part in company training sessions, jobsite meetings, and growth opportunities.
- Take on other duties as assigned to support project and company success.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:- Ten or more years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
- Four-year bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience, in construction science/management, construction, or engineering.
- Familiarity with different construction systems - pre-cast, cast-in-place, tilt wall, wood frame, steel frame, pre-engineered metal building, and similar.
- Current certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Scaffold Competent Person, Trench Safety, Fall Safety, OSHA 30-Hour, and Forklift/Lull Operations.
- A proven record of finishing projects on time and on budget.
- Experience across multiple delivery methods and construction types.
- Proficiency with relevant project software.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read and fully understand plans, specifications, details, and construction documents.
- Ability to travel to job sites in the DFW area, with occasional extended travel.

Working Conditions:
- Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
- The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
