We're seeking a motivated anddetail-oriented Substation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'llbe responsible for engineering, designing and analyzing high-voltage substationsthat are critical infrastructure our clients rely on. This role offers theopportunity to work on utility-scale projects and collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams in a dynamic consulting environment.

Design and technicalexcellence
  • Design and draft high-voltage substations, up to 500 kV, using current industry standards
  • Effectively use 2D and 3D AutoCAD to create, edit and optimize electrical drawings
  • Prepare technical documents, calculation notes and comprehensive specifications
  • Apply established work methods and contribute to their continuous improvement
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams who are designing renewable power facilities (wind, solar, battery energy storage systems)
  • Engineer solutions to interconnect large loads, such as data centers, mining operations and large industrial companies

Leadership andmentoring
  • Coach and mentor junior and intermediate designers, fostering their technical growth and professional development
  • Supervise and guide junior and intermediate team members through complex design projects and problem-solving processes
  • Share your expertise by leading design reviews and providing constructive feedback on technical work
  • Support the development of technical skills and career progression of junior team members

Project managementand client engagement
  • Provide engineering services and consulting work as a lead designer or as a supporting team member, building client relationships
  • Participate in project management activities, including cost tracking, deadline management and resource planning
  • Lead coordination meetings, both internally and with clients, demonstrating technical leadership
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to inform design decisions
  • Participate in commissioning equipment at client sites, locally and internationally, ensuring successful project delivery

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience engineering and designing high-voltage substations (up to 500 kV) in utility or consulting engineering environments
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD drafting software, with demonstrated project examples
  • Registration as a professional engineer in the United States, with the ability to expand to other states, as needed
