Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
10+ years of structural engineering experience in building design
Professional Engineering license (PE or P.Eng) required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software
Experience in design calculations and layouts
Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
Familiarity with industry codes for design (Building and/or Bridge)

Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Serve in a lead technical role on bridge and/or transit structure design projects
Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects
Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable, box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects) and or transit (elevated and/or underground stations and line structures) projects
Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks
Interface with clients
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Inventor
Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Microstation
Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams
Experience in design calculations and layouts
Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, ETABS, RISA, Larsa
Ability to design and detail in various material types
Requires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis
Knowledge of Standard Industry Codes for Design (Building and/or Bridge) is required
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
Preference given to candidates currently residing in the NY Metropolitan Area #LI-JC7
