Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior SRE/ Observability Consultant to join our growing team in United States!
The role:
You will be our senior client-facing voice on reliability, observability and AIOps across North American accounts. This is a consulting seat, not an operations seat. You will enter unfamiliar client estates repeatedly, run discovery, form a point of view quickly, and defend it in front of engineering and IT leadership. Hands-on depth matters, but the work is advisory: assessments, maturity roadmaps, instrumentation strategy, and delivery oversight. You may also be asked to work on final deliverables as required.
What you'll do:
- Client advisory and discovery: Reliability assessments, observability maturity reviews, SLO and SLI definition workshops, architecture guidance.
- Pipeline and solutioning: Presales conversations, RFP responses, scoping and estimating SRE engagements, account expansion with sector leads.
- Offering and IP: Reusable assessment frameworks, maturity models, reference architectures, enablement content.
- Delivery Oversight: Direction, review and escalation support.
Must have:
- Deep hands-on background in SRE, platform engineering or production operations, with real ownership of reliability outcomes.
- Working depth in observability tooling and practice: OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, metrics and log correlation, alerting design, incident triage.
- Practical experience defining SLOs, error budgets and monitoring strategy in production environments.
- Demonstrated client-facing or multi-environment work: consulting, professional services, internal platform advisory, or repeated greenfield onboarding.
- Ability to write: Assessments, roadmaps and points of view are the deliverable.
- Comfort with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, one or more major clouds) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong plus:
- AIOps and event correlation platforms, including anti-pattern experience rather than tool familiarity alone.
- Background bridging performance engineering and production reliability.
- Exposure to regulated or infrastructure-heavy verticals such as utilities, energy, financial services or healthcare.
- FinOps or cost-versus-reliability trade-off work.
- Relevant certifications in observability, cloud architecture or SRE practice.
Benefits:
- Be a part of a company who strives to support for diversity and inclusion in the workplace - we are one, we are many at QualityAI. Celebrate culture, share knowledge with engineers from around the globe, and inspire each other through our differences.
- Local and global opportunities - we offer you internal rotation and international mobility opportunities to grow your career.
- Clear view of your career and progression with the company - QualityAI is growing massively (since Jan 2021 - added more than 2000 engineers) and giving you the opportunity to grow with us.
- Work hard and play harder with our flexible and casual culture. Take a break from work and join an employee event, or enjoy the amenities and games provided from one of our Employees Centers.
- Never stop experimenting and learning with QualityAI Tech academy: 3000+ training courses, mentorship programs, technical tribes, sponsored certifications, leadership programs and much more.
- Earn bonuses via our Client Referral and Employee Referral Program's. Refer and earn - tap your network for net-worth.
- A Competitive pay, the salary range for the role is $150,000 - $170,000.
