Application Compliance Lead
Position SummaryThe Application Compatibility Compliance Validation Lead is responsible for validating enterprise applications for deployment within standard corporate desktop laptop virtual desktop field mobility and Connected Worker environments
The role ensures applications are successfully installed tested validated and supported across approved operating system images including BOSS images ensuring compatibility stability security and operational readiness prior to production deployment
This position works closely with application owners infrastructure teams desktop engineering security and business stakeholders to validate application functionality identify compatibility issues coordinate remediation activities and support production releases
Key Responsibilities- Application Compatibility Testing
- Validate applications against approved BOSS workstation images and enterprise desktop standards
- Perform compatibility testing across Windows operating systems browsers field devices kiosks tablets and Connected Worker environments
- Assess application behavior following image upgrades OS updates security patches and software package deployments
- Identify compatibility issues impacting application functionality performance integrations or user experience
- Coordinate remediation activities with development and vendor support teams
- Connected Worker Application Validation
- Test Connected Worker applications used in operations maintenance inspections permits safety field execution and digital workflow processes
- Validate application functionality in online and offline operating environments
- Verify integration with backend systems APIs authentication services and enterprise platforms
- Ensure field mobility applications operate correctly following installations upgrades patches and image refreshes
- Conduct endtoend business process validation before release approval
- Installation and Deployment Verification
- Develop installation qualification and postinstallation validation procedures
- Execute smoke testing regression testing integration testing and user acceptance support activities
- Validate application deployment packages and installation procedures
- Verify application services scheduled jobs APIs database connections and authentication services following installation
- Support production deployment activities and postimplementation verification
Compliance and Release Readiness- Ensure applications comply with enterprise architecture security supportability and operational standards
- Review release documentation testing evidence remediation plans and deployment readiness requirements
- Verify adherence to change management and release governance processes
- Support audit requests and provide validation evidence for application deployments
- Track application compliance findings and remediation actions
Application Maintenance and Support- Investigate and resolve application issues identified during testing or production support
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring compatibility and deployment failures
- Support application upgrades patches image refreshes and technology lifecycle activities
- Work with infrastructure desktop engineering and application teams to improve deployment success rates
- Maintain testing documentation validation records support procedures and knowledge articles
