What will you be doing?• Working closely with our growing sales team to identify merchant pain points and consulting with those merchants on the value of Primer to address them
• Providing technical expertise to the sales team to partner with them in business development
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions, and translating complex technical concepts into simple language
• Driving forward client engagements via discovery sessions, solution design workshops, product demos, developer Q&As, and more
• Guiding merchants from initial conversations in pre-sales through to successful go-live and ramp-up, ensuring a smooth end-to-end integration process
• Acting as a project owner during complex merchant integrations, aligning internal and external stakeholders, creating implementation plans, and mitigating risks proactively
• Collaborating with our Product team, using your market learning to identify feature enhancements and new features to better serve our merchants
What we'd love to see:• Previous experience in a merchant-facing role with a complex API product, ideally in payments
• Comfortable implementing frontend SDKs in web or mobile environments and advising developers on integration best practices
• Confidence and ease in leading discovery sessions, joining presentations at C-level, and working with technical counterparts at some of the largest merchants
• Deep interest or knowledge about tech, understanding, explaining, and designing complex technical solutions is second nature to you
• Project management skills, you're organised, proactive, and can lead integrations involving multiple teams and dependencies
• Creativity and improvisational skills, rarely are two merchants alike, and you don't always have days to prepare
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, you make the complicated sound simple and interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A collaborative approach, you work well with clients, partners, and internal teams (Product, Engineering, Sales)
