Full Job Description
The Opportunity

Join Hinge Health's IT & Security team as a Senior Solutions Engineer and help build the reliable, secure, and scalable technology foundation that enables our people to do their best work. This role sits at the intersection of IT administration, infrastructure engineering, automation, and advanced technical support.

You'll own and improve the systems behind our corporate technology environment-from endpoint management, networking, and identity to cloud platforms and internal AI-enabled workflows. You'll be equally comfortable troubleshooting a difficult network issue, automating device enrollment, designing secure access patterns for enterprise data, and helping the team make thoughtful technology decisions as Hinge Health grows.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for an owner-operator who enjoys solving root causes, reducing operational friction, and turning emerging technology into stable, supportable services that improve the employee experience.

What You'll Accomplish
In your first 3 months
  • Build context on Hinge Health's corporate IT environment, including endpoints, Jamf, networking, identity, SaaS platforms, asset management, and existing operational processes.
  • Establish strong working relationships across IT, Security Operations, IT Risk, SRE, Engineering, and AI Enablement.
  • Take ownership of complex technical escalations, using a structured troubleshooting approach and documenting root causes, risks, and follow-up actions.
In your first 6 months
  • Improve the reliability and consistency of endpoint provisioning, configuration management, access workflows, and routine IT operations through automation and self-service.
  • Maintain and optimize Jamf and related endpoint tooling across a multi-OS environment, with a primary focus on macOS.
  • Administer and improve corporate networking, including enterprise wireless and zero-trust network access (ZTNA), in partnership with relevant security and infrastructure teams.
  • Help implement secure integrations and operational guardrails for internal AI tools, including identity-aware access, data handling, logging, and support processes.
In your first year
  • Lead meaningful improvements to the reliability, security, and scalability of corporate IT infrastructure, including projects such as technology refreshes, office buildouts, and infrastructure migrations.
  • Evaluate and operationalize emerging AI capabilities-including LLM-backed tools, retrieval workflows, and agent-style automation-with sound judgment around security, governance, reliability, and employee experience.
  • Raise the effectiveness of the broader team through clear documentation, runbooks, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and durable operational practices.
Who You Are
  • You are an owner-operator who takes responsibility for systems throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation through support, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • You communicate clearly and calmly with both technical and non-technical partners, especially when diagnosing high-impact issues or navigating competing priorities.
  • You are a learn-it-all who stays curious about new technologies and is willing to challenge assumptions, test ideas, and improve based on evidence.
  • You bring a bias toward action and accountability: you make thoughtful tradeoffs, follow through on commitments, and look for creative ways to reduce friction without compromising security or reliability.
  • You lead at all levels by sharing knowledge, mentoring teammates, and making the systems and processes around you easier for others to use and support.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration, systems engineering, or a comparable infrastructure role supporting a multi-OS environment, with strong experience in macOS.
  • Demonstrated experience owning endpoint management and corporate infrastructure, including Jamf or a comparable MDM platform, enterprise networking, and identity or SaaS administration.
  • Demonstrated experience automating IT operations through scripting such as Bash or Python, MDM workflows, infrastructure-as-code, or comparable engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, SSO, SCIM, and identity-aware access patterns.
  • Experience supporting or integrating internal AI-enabled tools, including practical familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), or similar connector patterns.
  • Experience designing controls for AI-enabled systems, including data handling, permissions, logging, monitoring, safe use of internal knowledge sources, and incident response.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based SaaS environments or corporate IT systems that intersect with cloud infrastructure; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with security operations tooling such as SIEM, EDR, CrowdStrike, or Netskope.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-relevant compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC 2.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams and/or administering Windows and Linux environments, including Ubuntu.
