You will be part of a team thatdrivessystematic and data-drivenimprovementstotheAutonomous Vehiclesoftwareby designing, implementing, andmaintainingrobustprocesses for evaluation andvalidationof our AVs.To achieve thisobjective,we are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent analytical skills to own end to end execution,methodologyimprovementsand insight articulation/communicationto ensurehigh-qualityevaluation and releaseof ourEnd-to-End ML Stack.

In this position, you will work closely withAI/ML Engineers,Simulation Engineers,Systems Engineers,Product Managers toidentify, analyze,monitorand prioritize the most important signals to assessperformance of our ML based stackleveragingsimulationand on-roaddata and building scalable processesto evaluate compliance to our KPIs.

Whatyoullbe doing:

  • DefineanAV evaluation process that spans frominitialconception through implementation, ensuring it is applied to the release ofourend-to-end(E2E)MLstack.

  • Provide hands-onimplementationofinfrastructuresolutionstoassessAVperformancefrom ELTtooling at GM from simulation andon-roaddata.

  • Proactivelyscope andidentifymetrics needed to improve our evaluationworkflowsand devise paths for implementation if notavailable.

  • Contribute toautomatedtriage strategiesforAVdeficienciesinan End-to-Endstackarchitectureand presentfindingstorelevantstakeholders.

  • Articulate insights,summariesand recommendations toAV developersand executivesbased on continuous analysis of AV performance.

  • Define andmaintainscalable processes toidentify,monitorandimproveevaluationKPIs as definition of success ofevaluation initiatives.

  • Mapandarticulatelinkbetween continuous improvement processes withtheproductsafetycaseandcompliance with safety standards.

What you must have:

  • StrongPython andSQLprogramming

  • Priorknowledge and implementation of ELT pipelinesfor product quality analysis

  • Strongproblem-solvingskills - End to End ownership from problem definition to deriving the desired outcome

  • Proventrack recordof analytical and systems engineering skills while dealing with complex systems and ambiguous AI functions

  • Proventrack recordof root cause analysis in complex SW/HW systems

  • Familiarity with analytical methods fordrivingbehavioral analysis

  • Ability to creatively problem solve with limited supervision

  • Motivated by a fast paced, challenging environment withhigh expectationsand quick turnarounds

  • Ability to learn quickly, starting with little information and quickly becoming an expert in your domain

  • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills

  • Proven experience at communicating data driven decisions to leadership

  • Passionate about robotics/AI complexities

  • BS ,MS orPhD inEngineering or related discipline or equivalent combination education and experience

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
The salary range for this role: is $153,200 to $234,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
