Position Overview- Role: Senior Software Engineer

OverviewThe Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical solutions that drive forward data exchange between IntelliDealer ERP and Third-Parties, including dealerships, partners and vendors. Working closely with Product Management, they will be responsible for interpreting design documents and specifications provided and deliver code changes that follow best practices and standards as defined by the architecture team.
Responsibilities- Engineering and Development
- Work within all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Independently develop solutions that meet specifications on time and in budgeted hours.
- Follow development standards a set by the Engineering team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups and sprint planning.
- Testing and Quality
- Where possible, execute code against test data to ensure functionality of the API.
- Debug and troubleshoot any issues identified during testing.
- Submit pull requests for peer review.
- Process and Communication
- Understand and follow documented procedures for code delivery, including branching strategies, common patterns and frameworks.
- Attend project kick-off meetings to ensure specifications and requirements are well understood.
- Provide regular progress updates and raise any concerns during the SDLC.
Skills & Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, preferably with AI experience.
- 2+ years of experience developing with Java or an equivalent language.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience working within an Agile Framework.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with ERP, DMS, or dealer operations is a plus.
