Youre a quality professional who thinks upstream. You dont wait for UAT to find problems - youre the person asking hard questions about acceptance criteria before a line of code is written. You bring a natural instinct for risk, a sharp eye for ambiguity, and the communication skills to turn both into action with product and engineering. Youre comfortable with AI-assisted tooling, but you know that agents do the first draft and humans make the final call. You care about getting it right the first time, and you understand that quality is fastest when its built in from the start.
In this role, youll partner with product and engineering at the story level - shaping what done means before development begins. Youll use AI-generated test cases as a starting point, applying your expertise to review and improve them. Youll own quality signal across the development lifecycle, from AC review to pull request sign-off, and help us build toward a world where deployment isnt a ceremony - its a condition that gets met.
You will be joining a company with a collaborative culture, focus on customers, and emphasis on having a good time together!
What youll do:- Collaborate with product managers to review acceptance criteria and user stories before development begins, flagging gaps, ambiguities, and untestable requirements early
- Design and write thorough test cases grounded in user flows, edge cases, and risk - not just happy paths
- Work alongside developers throughout the build - reviewing test coverage, participating in pull request reviews, and ensuring nothing ships untested
- Execute exploratory testing with intent and discipline - going beyond scripted test cases to surface what structured testing misses
- Track and interpret quality trends - bug rates, test coverage, defect escape patterns - and bring that signal into team conversations
- Communicate clearly with product, engineering, and leadership - translating quality findings into plain language that drives decisions
- Contribute to building and improving our test automation coverage, and help shape what good automation looks like on our team
Your Experience:- Strong foundation in test case design and deep QA experience from product design to launch
- An AI-forward approach to test; strong demonstration of usage of Claude, Replit, Sigma, and other AI-first tooling.
- Strong comfort with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar) and an understanding of how automation fits into a broader quality strategy
- Demonstrated ability to read requirements critically - catching whats missing, ambiguous, or likely to cause problems before testing begins
- Experience with exploratory and risk-based testing - you approach testing with curiosity and structure, not just a checklist
- Comfortable working closely with developers - reviewing code changes for testability, participating in pull request reviews, and building shared ownership of quality
- Able to interpret quality data - defect trends, test coverage gaps, production escapes - and use it to have informed conversations about where the team should focus
- Strong communicator who can speak to quality across audiences - engineers, product managers, and leadership - without losing the thread
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar agile project tracking tools
