What you will do- Lead technical design and development for complex software features, products, and improvements.
- Contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Lead smaller projects or serve as a significant technical contributor on larger initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues and deliver complete, well-designed solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for key systems and help shape engineering practices and technical direction.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, cross-training, and knowledge sharing, supported by clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate across teams to communicate technical decisions and project progress while ensuring quality, security, and regulatory standards are met.
What we look for- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 7 or more years of software development experience; a master's degree and 1-2 years of project leadership experience are preferred.
- Strong experience with an object-oriented language, common web development patterns such as model-view-controller, and enterprise software development on Agile teams.
- Strong relational database expertise, including design, programming, and performance tuning, plus experience with Entity Framework or a similar framework; Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
- Experience designing secure applications, solving difficult technical problems independently, and making sound design decisions.
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, influence across teams, and manage competing priorities.
- Basic understanding of durable medical equipment and hospice operations, with a commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Preferred experience includes JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React, cloud platforms such as AWS, scripting tools, Xamarin mobile development, or benefits, transaction processing, or financial services systems.
