Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer / Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer is responsible for building and deploying enterprise AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations within Legal systems and supporting infrastructure. This role involves partnering with subject matter experts and business teams to translate workflows into production-ready AI solutions, leveraging established AI platforms, shared RAG services, and MCP tools. The engineer will independently design, develop, deploy, support, and transition mature solutions to platform and operations teams while contributing engineering patterns and platform improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and deploy AI agents in collaboration with subject matter experts and operational teams.
• Develop and deploy MCP servers and connectors, progressing solutions from pre-production through design review to production.
• Configure skills, integrations, and evaluations using AI platform capabilities, including LLM gateways, shared RAG services, and MCP toolchains.
• Conduct workshops with teams, demonstrate the use of Claude Code, and translate business workflows into agent skills.
• Design, develop, support, and transition mature systems to platform and operations teams as solutions stabilize.
• Share reusable patterns, anti-patterns, and platform gaps with the Center of Excellence to improve engineering practices and delivery efficiency.
• Build hooks, skills, workflows, and automations that support safe and reliable production deployment of AI solutions.
• Design and develop enterprise applications using Python, Node.js, .NET, or equivalent technologies.
• Integrate AI agents with relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document data stores.
• Operate independently across solution design, implementation, deployment, production support, and handoff.
• Coordinate multiple AI agents in parallel as part of daily engineering workflows.
• Apply systems thinking and evaluate failure modes to ensure accountability for production outcomes.
Required Qualifications
• Experience developing and hosting enterprise agentic solutions using Claude Agent SDK, MCP, or an equivalent technology stack.
• Production coding experience in at least one of Python, Node.js, or .NET, with the ability to work across the other technologies.
• Experience working with relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document data stores.
• Experience independently designing, shipping, supporting, and handing off production solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with and present technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders.
• Pragmatic judgment in determining when solutions are ready to ship, require further hardening, or should be handed off.
• Strong systems-thinking skills with a focus on failure modes and production reliability.
• Experience using AI tools as a core part of the engineering workflow.
