Qualifications

• Experience as the first infra hire or platform lead at a startup.
• Proven ability to build tools that enhance engineer productivity significantly.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure with a pragmatic approach to trade-offs.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA and SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Own observability using Datadog, ensuring effective monitoring and alerting.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure that is secure and scalable.
• Drive HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance efforts for the organization.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate safe and frequent deployments.
• Design and create complex development and staging environments.
• Set up and manage data infrastructure for product and analytics needs.
