Full Job Description
Senior Software Engineer

Location: Onsite/Hybrid Reports To: Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain mission-critical applications and integrations that support clinical and administrative operations across our facilities. This role blends hands-on full-stack development with architectural ownership, and you'll work across the stack from software design to cloud deployment and mobile delivery, with growing opportunities to shape how we apply AI to real clinical and operational workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C#/.NET and modern TypeScript/JavaScript front-end frameworks
  • Design and build cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI, extending clinical and operational tools to phones and tablets used across facilities
  • Assist with SQL-based data solutions that move and transform data across clinical, operational, and reporting systems
  • Contribute to software architecture and API/service design discussions, evaluating trade-offs and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable across web, desktop, and mobile
  • Partner directly with the CIO on software design initiatives and AI solution strategy, translating executive vision into practical technical roadmaps
  • Build clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code following engineering best practices

AI ARCHITECTURE & ENABLEMENT
  • Design and implement AI-powered features, integrations, and architectures, to shape the organization's AI solution roadmap
  • Help drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across the engineering organization
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, LLM platforms, and automation opportunities that improve engineering velocity and clinical/operational outcomes
  • Promote best practices around responsible and effective use of AI within software engineering workflows

AZURE PLATFORM & TECHNICAL DELIVERY
  • Develop and support applications hosted within Microsoft Azure, including Web Apps/App Services, Functions, background services, and related cloud-native services
  • Work with SQL Server/relational databases, including query optimization and performance tuning; experience with Databricks or similar platforms is a plus
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices using Azure DevOps, including build/release pipelines for MAUI mobile app distribution
  • Participate in performance optimization, monitoring, reliability, and operational improvement initiatives

PROJECT & TEAM COLLABORATION
  • Plan and manage your own project work: scoping, estimating, and coordinating delivery with minimal oversight
  • Provide technical guidance and code reviews to engineers across varying experience levels
  • Help improve engineering standards, delivery processes, and development practices
  • Take ownership of assigned initiatives from technical design through production delivery

WHAT YOU BRING

Required
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong experience building enterprise applications using C#/.NET
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience designing and shipping cross-platform mobile apps with .NET MAUI (or Xamarin.Forms)
  • Solid experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Demonstrated understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, and distributed system design
  • Practical experience with Azure-hosted applications and cloud-native development practices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and AI/LLM integration patterns
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in environments where requirements and priorities evolve over time

Preferred
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership on technology strategy
  • Experience publishing mobile apps to app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) and managing mobile device deployment/MDM considerations
  • Experience with Databricks or other big-data/lakehouse platforms
  • Experience with AI integrations, LLM APIs, or AI-enabled product features
  • Experience in healthcare IT or other regulated, compliance-driven industries (HIPAA)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/OpenTofu, Bicep) and observability/monitoring tooling
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering process improvements

KEY TRAITS
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving business requirements
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives forward
  • Balances architectural thinking with practical hands-on execution
  • Curious about emerging technologies, especially AI and modern application development
  • Collaborative communicator who works effectively across technical and executive stakeholders
