Senior Software Engineer to support the
U.S. Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB.
You'll design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mission-critical software and backend services while supporting web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure software development in a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
- Support applications in Linux and Windows environments.
- Develop backend services, web applications, and SQL database functionality.
- Build automation using Bash and maintain Git/GitLab repositories.
- Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement improvements.
- Support software deployment, configuration, and technical documentation.
- Ensure development activities comply with applicable DoD security requirements.

Qualifications- Active DoD Secret clearance - required
- U.S. Citizenship - required
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; equivalent qualifying certifications may be considered.
- Relevant experience:
- Bachelor's: 9+ years
- Master's: 7+ years
- PhD: 4+ years
- DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.
