Senior Software Engineer who builds scalable distributed systems and uses AI-assisted development to move fast without lowering the bar on reliability or code quality. You iterate quickly, trust your engineering judgment, and enjoy turning open-ended problems into shipped work. You own what you build in production, from metrics and monitoring to on-call. You work well with product and design partners, communicate clearly in global teams, and raise the engineering standards of the people around you.
What You'll Do- Design, build, and ship a reliability platform that brings together service health, debugging, and observability for production systems.
- Own and deliver quarterly goals, and guide fellow engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Work with product, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, and decisions that weigh risks and trade-offs.
- Support operations and availability by defining and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and taking part in on-call and "keep the lights on" work.
- Set and improve code review and design standards, and help develop talent through feedback and leading by example.
What You Bring- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Practical use of LLMs or AI frameworks to improve automation and guidance, with guardrails and citations.
- Ability to make significant changes safely in a large codebase, and to write technical plans for major features with simple, extensible designs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have- Experience building observability, SRE, or internal developer platforms (e.g., metrics, tracing, incident tooling).
