- Ability to own loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong experience with Python and modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy.
- Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.
- Experience with cloud computing environments (E.g., AWS)
- Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.
Preferred:- Hands-on experience building internal coding agents (e.g., ticket-to-MR, automated code review) and leading their rollout, including process design and team enablement.
- Solid experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
- Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools in daily workflows, including but not limited to Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor.
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$119,000 to $150,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.
