Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Software Developer with a bachelor's degree or higher and 8+ years' experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with modern C++ or Rust, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports milestone objectives to include software development in a collaborative unclassified environment.
  • Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
  • Leading a small team of high performing developers across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Comfortable contributing to Rust applications.

Qualifications
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years in software engineering or related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Rust or C++ (preferably C++11 or newer).
  • Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments (Mostly Linux).

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.
  • Experience with database programming (e.g. MongoDB).
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker).
  • Experience with Rust or C++ (C++20 or newer).
  • Experience developing software for embedded or real-time applications (space or aerospace/industrial controls preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
