What you'll do...
Role summary:
Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the delivery of scalable software solutions through collaborative engineering teams. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality code across multiple languages while integrating AI and machine learning components to enhance platform capabilities. You will drive full lifecycle development, including testing, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. The position requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and effective cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, innovative software that supports Walmart's mission and operational excellence.

What you'll do:
  • Build high-quality Mobile experiences for Walmart Business customers.
  • Deliver scalable features across shopping, account management, orders, payments, tax-exempt, and store workflows.
  • Contribute across mobile, backend services, Order Lifecycle systems, and web frontend experiences.
  • Use AI-powered developer tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity through automation and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Partner with Product, UX, platform, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, observability, experimentation, and production support.
  • Bring ownership, agility, and continuous learning to a fast-moving engineering team.


What you'll bring:
  • Strong engineering experience with Kotlin or Swift, architecture patterns, performance, testing, and production-quality app delivery.
  • Ability to contribute across the full stack, including mobile, backend services, APIs, Order Lifecycle systems, and web frontend.
  • Hands-on use of AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, documentation, and delivery speed.
  • Understanding of AI application concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and agentic workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and ability to work through ambiguity.
  • Collaboration mindset and willingness to learn new domains quickly.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
