What you'll do...

Role summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating advanced AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. This role demands technical expertise in Android ( Kotlin) , sound judgment, and a product-focused mindset to align outcomes with business objectives. You will mentor peers, promote engineering excellence, and ensure high-quality, reliable software that supports Walmart's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues for Android mobile devices by reviewing and analyzing information then engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of found issues.
  • Develop innovative mobile technology solutions , strategies to support business objectives by collaborating with cross-functional business partners
  • Own delivery of scoped features, models through collaborative engineering teams
  • Integrate AI, ML to enhance software intelligence and leverage GenAI tools to improve development efficiency.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality, reliable software.
  • Monitor application performance, support DevOps activities to maintain system stability and uptime.
  • Participate in design reviews , promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement.


What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Strong technical acumen in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging.
  • Demonstrated capability in code review, defect management, and continuous improvement.

  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and writing readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented code
  • Experience working with Kotlin, Coroutines, MVVM, MVVM Clean, View Models, Repository Design pattern, and other architectures
  • Experience working with an orchestration Layer and GraphQL
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment and using tracking tools like Jira

Sunnyvale, California US-11349: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
