OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support a large-scale, 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs, Identity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management initiatives.
The Software Developer will work within a large, collaborative team of software developers, software engineers, and data engineers to modernize mission-critical applications and implement industry-standard technologies and development practices.
What will you do?- Design, develop, enhance, and modernize legacy applications using modern software development technologies and practices.
- Develop backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Design and develop applications leveraging Neo4j and Elasticsearch.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Support the modernization and migration of legacy applications while maintaining continuity of existing mission-critical systems.
- Design and implement custom ETL processes and methodologies for data transformation and integration.
- Develop AWS CloudFormation scripts to provision network and application infrastructure in a repeatable and automated manner.
- Develop custom scripts to install, configure, and deploy application code within AWS EC2 instances.
- Leverage AWS services to build and operate scalable cloud-based applications.
- Implement and maintain Node.js PM2 for application monitoring, process management, and resiliency.
- Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated application testing.
- Create, edit, maintain, and execute automated tests using Selenium.
- Utilize Git, Jenkins, and/or Rundeck to support source control, continuous integration, deployment, and automation.
- Work within Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environments and utilize command-line tools for development and troubleshooting.
- Participate in Agile development activities using SAFe, Scrum, and other Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with developers, software engineers, data engineers, and other technical stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
- Produce clear technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans.
- Mentor junior developers and promote software development best practices across the development community.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical guidance to other team members.
- Support the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of mission-critical applications.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 6-10 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Python
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience developing and modernizing enterprise or legacy applications.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience developing applications utilizing Neo4j and Elasticsearch.
- Experience reading, analyzing, and developing technical solutions based on customer requirements.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience scripting application installation and configuration within AWS EC2 environments.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes.
- Experience with unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated testing.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and executing automated tests using Selenium.
- Knowledge of DevOps and development tools such as:
- Experience working from the command line within Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe development environments.
