Join us as a Senior Site Manager in the West region. The Senior Site Manager is the on-site leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful execution of EPC construction projects. This role provides overall field leadership and serves as the primary site representative for Schneider Electric, overseeing subcontractor performance, site logistics, quality assurance, schedule execution, client coordination, and safety compliance. The Senior Site Manager works in close partnership with Project Managers, subcontractors, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements. This position requires a strong construction background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to proactively resolve site challenges while maintaining positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
What will you do?Site Leadership & Project Execution
- Provide overall leadership for construction site operations from mobilization through project closeout.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Drive project schedule performance by managing work sequencing, resource allocation, and daily construction activities.
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and potential delays and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead planning meetings, safety briefings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Partner with Project Managers to jointly drive project performance, schedule execution, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation and deliver successful project outcomes.
- Serve as the primary on-site Schneider Electric representative with customers, utility representatives, AHJs, inspectors, and other external stakeholders.
Construction Management & Coordination
- Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate project risks, resource constraints, and execution challenges while supporting mitigation strategies.
- Oversee site logistics, material management, equipment utilization, and workforce planning.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, schedule performance, staffing, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate engineering clarifications, design changes, commissioning activities, and turnover requirements.
- Review construction progress against baseline schedules and support recovery plans when necessary.
Safety Leadership
- Champion Schneider Electric's safety culture and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Lead site safety efforts including JHAs, POWRAs, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Conduct and document safety observations and ensure timely resolution of findings where necessary.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accountability for contractor safety, performance, and compliance.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all work meets contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
- Develop and oversee site QA/QC activities, inspections, testing, and turnover documentation.
- Identify and resolve non-conforming work and drive corrective action plans.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, AHJs, commissioning teams, and other internal/external stakeholders.
- Support the project team by ensuring project closeout documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, progress updates, quality records, safety records, material receiving logs, deficiency tracking, and punch list management.
- Review and support RFIs, submittals, and as-built documentation.
- Provide regular site status updates to project leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
- Support the Project Management team in forecasting of labor, materials, and field resource requirements.
Leadership & Development
- Mentor and support Site Managers and other developing field leaders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Share lessons learned and best practices across project teams.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of field personnel as needed.
What are the key skills we are looking for?- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Strong understanding of electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical construction activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
- Proven leadership and conflict-resolution skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with executives, customers, and field personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project) required; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred.
- Ability to operate independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
What qualifications will make you successful?Education
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent combination of trade experience, field leadership, and technical training will be considered.
Experience
- 8+ years of progressive construction experience in commercial, industrial, utility, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or EPC environments.
- Minimum 3+ years leading field construction activities on large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, client relationships, and site safety programs.
Certifications & RequirementsRequired or able to obtain within 60 days:
- OSHA 30
- First Aid / CPR
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to satisfy project-specific background screening requirements.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements- Primarily field-based role supporting active construction projects.
- Approximately 90% travel depending on project assignments within the Western Region (CO, AZ, CA).
- Frequent walking on active construction sites and uneven terrain.
- Ability to climb ladders, navigate construction environments, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction activities.
- Flexibility to support extended work hours, shift work, or weekends as required by project schedules.
