Full Job Description
Senior Services Supervisor

Reporting to the Housing Stability Manager, the Senior Services Supervisor will serve as a valuable contributor to the Resident Services team by providing direct supervision to a team of Senior Services Specialists.

Note: This is a hybrid position. Newly hired employees are eligible to work remotely two days a week once the 6-month probation period is successfully completed.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly supervise nine (9) Senior Services Specialists and three (3) Senior Nutrition Aides;
  • Oversee staff's day-to-day efforts and analyze staff's performance regularly to ensure level of effort meets the standards established for the division;
  • Provide the guidance, encouragement, and tools needed for staff to excel in their roles;
  • Conduct site visits to meet with staff and observe work performance;
  • Support staff with integrating best practices for supporting older adults in their daily work ensuring that seniors are being served proficiently;
  • Perform administrative duties such as approval of timecards, completion of performance evaluations, etc.


Senior Services & Resources

  • Assist the Housing Stability Manager with implementing strategies, programs, and special initiatives for older adults;
  • Identify partnerships, resources, and services for older adults in the areas of health, general social services, nutrition, socialization transportation, etc.;
  • Assist the Housing Stability Manager with establishing partnerships for older adults including facilitating agreements and other related paperwork; as well as partner meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: At leastseven (7) years of substantial and demonstrable experience in the field of Social Work, Social Services, Human Services, or a related field; capacity to effectively lead and supervise a team.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and the ability to engage sensitively and constructively with department and agency leadership.
  • Exceptional oral communication skills including comfort with speaking publicly in a variety of settings and ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Effective written communication skills including experience with preparing reports, briefings, and other written content.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and exercise good judgment.
  • Knowledge of program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach and guide staff.
  • Considerable knowledge of Social Work/Social Service practices and programs.
  • Knowledge of subsidized housing programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Grade 25 - Min: $76,579 / Mid: $102,077 / Max: $127,574 | Salary determined by departmental budget - Offer commensurate with experience.
