OverviewWe’re hiring a senior researcher to join a new security research team focused on rapid triage, reverse engineering, vulnerability discovery, and proof-of-concept exploit development.
You’ll independently investigate unfamiliar systems, turn initial findings into reproducible evidence, and produce reports that others can act on. Practical experience using LLMs and associated agent harnesses throughout technical investigations is required.
Pay Range $124,000 - $208,000
The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Triage incoming findings, reproduce reported behavior, and assess impact and exploitability.
- Analyze source code, binaries, protocols, and runtime behavior to identify vulnerabilities and root causes.
- Develop reliable PoCs that demonstrate impact and document the conditions required for exploitation.
- Write clear reports covering evidence, reproduction steps, root cause, impact, limitations, and remediation considerations.
- Use and troubleshoot LLM-assisted workflows for analysis, experimentation, coding, and report preparation.
- Independently verify model-generated conclusions and code.
- Build reusable research tools and contribute to peer review and shared documentation.
Qualifications
You should bring:
- At least 4+ years in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, exploit development, or closely related security engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Additional years of experience may substitute for degree.
- Demonstrated ability to complete investigations independently, from initial signal to PoC and final report.
- Depth in at least one relevant technical area, such as native applications, operating systems, firmware, or web services.
- Strong programming and debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience configuring and using LLMs and agent harnesses for technical work.
- Clear technical writing and sound judgment about evidence, uncertainty, and research priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience with fuzzing, program analysis, harness development, or research automation would be valuable.
Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
