DescriptionMarkon is building a talent pool of Senior Schedulers to support future construction management programs, including potential U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) work that's currently a proposal. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify experienced scheduling professionals capable of supporting complex federal construction projects across varying locations and task orders. Selected candidates will be considered for future key personnel and project-based openings requiring development, maintenance, and analysis of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Critical Path Method (CPM) baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or a more current scheduling platform.
- Develop and maintain program- and project-level construction schedules supporting multiple concurrent projects and task orders.
- Update schedules on a recurring basis, including preparation of schedule narratives, progress analyses, and milestone status reporting.
- Integrate individual project and subcontractor schedules into comprehensive master schedules.
- Monitor project milestones, dependencies, float, sequencing, and critical path activities.
- Identify potential schedule impacts, delays, conflicts, and areas of concern and develop recommended mitigation strategies.
- Analyze contractor-generated construction schedules and provide recommendations regarding schedule acceptability and proposed revisions.
- Evaluate schedule performance against approved baselines, planned milestones, and project requirements.
- Perform or support Time Impact Analyses (TIA) associated with Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs), claims, delays, and other schedule impacts.
- Provide scheduling analysis, findings, and recommendations to project managers, construction managers, contractors, and Government stakeholders.
- Support multiple projects, subprojects, and task orders in a dynamic construction management environment.
Qualifications
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the clearance required by individual task order assignments and support work in classified environments as required
- 10+ years of experience using Primavera P6 to develop, implement, and maintain construction schedules
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining CPM construction schedules
- Experience supporting new vertical construction and renovation projects
- Experience with specialized construction environments such as medical facilities, pharmaceutical facilities, and/or heavy-highway construction
- Strong knowledge of critical path methodology, schedule logic, sequencing, milestones, float, dependencies, and construction progress
- Experience analyzing contractor-generated construction schedules and proposed schedule revisions
- Experience preparing schedule narratives, progress analyses, and schedule status reports
- Experience conducting or supporting Time Impact Analyses
- Ability to clearly communicate schedule findings, risks, impacts, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting USACE, DoD, or other federal construction programs
- Experience supporting large, complex construction programs with multiple concurrent projects or task orders
- Experience reviewing construction schedules on behalf of Government customers
- Experience supporting REAs, claims, delay analysis, or schedule-related dispute resolution
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules across multiple projects and subprojects
- Experience supporting medical, pharmaceutical, heavy-highway, or other specialized construction environments
Salary RangeUSD $125,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
