Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Creation and monitoring of the master and detail project schedule including design, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and installation activities based on organizational templates.
• Report to the Contract Planning Coordinator / Project Managers on all aspects of project progress and status
• Produce management reports on project progress and status
• Ensure project team members properly report schedule progress in organizational tool.
• Ensure effective communication and documentation of project progress and status.
• Schedule updating in SAP (including but not limited to progress, addresses, dates) to support material procurement
• Ensure milestone target dates are clearly identified in the project schedule and communicated to the project team
• Develop, review, and confirm function specific schedules with functional leads
• Support internal project meetings
• Interface with external (client, subcontractor, etc.) scheduling to support project alignment.
• Assist in planning and controlling of recovery plans in case of deviations
• Monitoring of Durr material purchasing management tool to flag systematic mistakes and delays
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree preferred
• Two or more years of planning and scheduling experience required, with good understanding of schedule logic and best practices
• Familiarity with automotive process installations preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Proficient with Microsoft Project preferred
• Proficiency with SAP a plus
• Ability to understand and maintain detailed, multi-level project schedules
• Good time management skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good technical writing skills
• Able to effectively communicate with other departments and divisions within System Center and globally
• Able to work well independently and in a team environment
• Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
• Adaptable to change in a learning environment
• Willing and able to travel within the US, Mexico, Canada, and Europe as required.
