About the Role
As a CBRE Sales Management Sr. Manager, you will lead sales management at the market level for producers across Boston and Providence.
This job is part of the Sales Management functional area, which focuses on the planning, coordination, and support that allow sales professionals to win and grow business. You will turn platform strategy into daily practice, managing the tools, processes, and partnerships that producers depend on to find, develop, and close business.
You will also manage direct reports and own the learning and development that raises the capability of the sales management function, while helping build the talent pipeline the market draws on.
What You'll Do
Own pipeline and reporting accuracy across the market. Audit deal data daily, reconcile closed transactions, keep teams current on upcoming client requirements and lease expirations, and support producer accountability to platform standards and revenue targets.
Drive adoption of Salesforce and pursuit tools, troubleshoot producer issues in real time, and coordinate the market's inbound and outbound opportunity process daily with sales management and Managing Directors.
Assist with the business development process across leasing and capital markets teams, including opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy coordination, and sourcing from market signals such as lease expirations, mergers and acquisitions, and maturing debt.
Develop strong relationships with Market Leaders and sales professionals to leverage talent across the market. Build working knowledge of each team's strengths, facilitate specialty broker meetings, and create connection points that align junior talent with existing producers and teams.
Work with internal partners to align service lines-including facilities management, project management, property management, consulting, and GWS-on a single client strategy so pursuits and existing relationships are coordinated across the full CBRE platform.
Serve as a subject matter expert for local sales teams, helping them identify the resources, tools, and people needed to pursue and win business. Report on industry and business trends and represent CBRE at local industry events and conferences.
Provide formal supervision to employees, including performance evaluations, coaching, and recruiting. Manage the team's daily activities, implement learning and development initiatives, and lead the pipeline of potential recruits with a focus on junior talent.
Apply a broad knowledge of the business and own discipline, lead by example consistent with CBRE RISE values, identify and solve operational problems, and improve methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Background in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management is preferred. Experience supporting a commercial real estate brokerage, professional services, or transaction-driven sales organization is preferred. Real estate salesperson license may be required, depending on state.
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive and difficult information, convey performance expectations, build credibility with senior producers and Market Leaders, and influence stakeholders whose priorities compete. Comfort making judgment calls on producer performance where no clear precedent exists.
Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets across multiple job disciplines and departments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of CRM and pipeline reporting tools, including the ability to troubleshoot proprietary platform tools for producers in real time.
Extensive organizational skills, an advanced inquisitive mindset, and intermediate math skills including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related figures.
