Full Job Description
The Senior Sales Analyst is a strategic commercial role responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of retail sales growth initiatives.

Acting as a key connector between sales, marketing, supply chain, and customers, this role helps drive customer engagement, new business development, assortment optimization, pricing strategy, and successful new item launches.

This position plays an active role in supporting private label retail growth opportunities while helping the sales team strengthen customer relationships and improve commercial execution. The role combines analytical, strategic, and customer-facing responsibilities to maximize revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.

THE ROLE:

  • Business Development Support: Assist the retail sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, particularly within private label retail accounts. Support customer presentations, opportunity analysis, and growth initiatives.
  • Customer Engagement & Commercial Support: Participate in customer-facing activities that strengthen relationships, improve engagement, and enhance overall commercial effectiveness.
  • Pricing & Assortment Strategy: Support pricing analysis, assortment optimization, and category recommendations to improve competitiveness and drive profitable growth.
  • New Item Introductions: Coordinate and support the successful commercialization and launch of new products, ensuring alignment across internal teams and customers.
  • Annual Booking Management: Manage and coordinate annual retail booking processes, ensuring alignment between customer commitments, production planning, and internal execution.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with sales, supply chain, operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure strong communication and seamless execution of customer programs.
  • Market Intelligence & Analysis : Analyze customer portal data, sales trends, assortment performance, competitive activity, market conditions, and customer opportunities to support commercial planning and growth initiatives.
  • Sales Enablement: Support the sales organization with customer insights, presentations, analytics, and tools that improve selling effectiveness and execution.


PROFILE:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, insights, category management, or commercial strategy;
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or food industry strongly preferred;
  • Experience supporting pricing, forecasting, or demand planning processes is an asset;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field;
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset;
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities;
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to influence stakeholders;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools;
  • Experience with Qlik, Nielsen, Scintilla and Circana, or equivalent syndicated data platform;
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of retail, private label, and category management dynamics;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a strategic mindset;
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.


Pay range: $85,000 to $100,000
