Full Job Description
This position is full-time on-site in our Bentonville, AR office. Please note that this is not a remote or hybrid role, and employees are expected to work from a Bentonville office each day.

Acts as a subject matter expert and business partner to Walmart, one of our largest, most complex, and most visible customers. Provides executive level data insights and actionable recommendations that improve sales growth, category performance, customer planning, promotional effectiveness, and profitability across Walmart stores and digital channels. Serves as a customer-specialist, maintaining a strong knowledge of client systems, business cadence, and customer expectations. Responsible for evaluating and interpreting complex data (i.e., POS, item, pricing, category, market share, promotion, financial, etc.) into concise recommendations the sales team, internal leadership, and customer-facing business reviews. Works closely across functions to ensure data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyzes and interprets complex Walmart sales data to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and growth opportunities (i.e., Walmart POS, shipment, inventory, replenishment, distribution, market share, pricing, category, store and omnichannel performance, etc.).

2. Monitors Walmart-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales plans, forecasts, inventory targets, customer commitments, and financial goals, including sales growth, market share, item productivity, forecast accuracy, distribution quality, category trends, inventory health, modular execution, promotional lift, and profitability.

3. Conducts root-cause analyses to identify drivers of business performance and provides actionable recommendations to improve results and customer experience.

4. Develops and maintains executive level dashboards, scorecards, automated reporting tools, and business performance reports that enhance visibility and support data-informed decision making.

5. Generates insights to support and improve forecasting accuracy, demand planning, inventory management, and customer event planning.

6. Supports customer strategy development, merchant meetings, strategic planning, annual business planning, Joint Business Planning (JBP), line reviews, modular reviews, market trends, competitive activity and positioning, category and pricing performance, shopper insights, new item launches, seasonal programs, distribution gains, and customer business reviews utilizing multiple data sources (i.e., customer, syndicated, and internal data).

7. Tracks and partners cross-functionally to utilize insights to enable into data-informed business decisions that improve customer plans, investment choices, assortment strategy, and performance management.

8. Translates complex customer and internal data into simple, decision-ready reporting and fact-based selling stories, insights, visualizations, presentations, and recommendations tailored to diverse audiences. Explains what happened, why it happened, the financial impact, the strategic implication, and the recommend next step.

9. Partners cross-functionally to resolve operational and service-related issues (i.e., inventory, forecast, replenishment, item productivity, quality, OTIF, SQEP, etc.)

10. Tracks and assists with trade spend management (i.e. Blacksmith application), evaluating performance and promotional effectiveness to identify opportunities to improve return on trade investment.

11. Supports item setup, product maintenance, content accuracy, and portfolio optimization initiatives.

12. Promotes best practices and continuously identifies opportunities for improving automation, data integrity, reporting consistency, and analytical rigor.

Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent (i.e., Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.)

2. 5+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience in retail, ecommerce, or wholesale corporate environment
• Experience supporting Walmart and/or Sam's Club with an understanding of Walmart replenishment, inventory management, merchandising, and supply chain processes
• Strong understanding of POS, financial and operational performance, pricing promotional effectiveness, category management and trends, market share, retail economics, and supply chain processes (i.e., inventory, distribution, forecasting, in-stock metrics, etc.)
• Highly skilled at creating customer scorecards and concise reporting
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive-level storytelling skills with the ability to communicate findings and strategic recommendations internally and externally
• Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence internal and external cross-functional teams through fact-based recommendations
• Proven ability to identify relevant data and analyses, synthesize data, identify issues, and present actionable insights
• High level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and reliability
• Ability to evaluate and interpret large, complex datasets from various sources and deliver actionable insights and recommendations internally and externally
• Solid critical-thinking, time-management, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) with advanced skills in Excel including data modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and analytical reporting
• Ability to quantify sales, profit, mix, share, investment return, customer opportunity, and business risk for a high-volume strategic customer

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry
• Experience with Luminate (Retail Link), Experience supporting Walmart and/or Sam's Club customers
• Working knowledge of SAP, trade management systems, and syndicated data platforms including Circana, NielsenIQ, or Numerator
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms
• Experience supporting customer business reviews, annual planning processes, and Joint Business Planning activities

Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with the option to work remotely periodically. For remote work, the employee must have a dedicated workspace to safely setup and use assigned IT equipment, preferably free from distractions. The employee is responsible for ensuring adequate internet service is available when working remotely (the recommended minimum speed is 20mb download and 5mb upload).
• The noise level of the environment is usually moderate.
• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
