DescriptionABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Okland is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Manager to champion a safety culture throughout the organization. This position will oversee the safety efforts for commercial construction projects in the North Phoenix area.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY Safety Leadership- Champion a proactive safety culture by partnering with project management, field supervision, and trade partners to drive accountability and safe work practices.
- Lead site onboarding, orientations, and ongoing engagement activities that ensure workers understand project-specific safety expectations and requirements.
- Facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and coaching conversations that reinforce compliant behaviors and continuous improvement.
Risk Management & Compliance- Conduct routine jobsite audits and inspections, documenting observations through reports, photographs, and corrective action tracking.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, performing root cause analysis and working with project teams to implement preventative measures.
- Review job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and high-risk work activities to identify hazards and ensure effective controls are in place.
Performance & Reporting- Monitor and track safety performance metrics, trends, and compliance indicators, providing actionable insights to project leadership.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance requirements within company reporting systems.
- Verify compliance with federal, state, client, and company safety standards while supporting successful audits and project safety objectives.
YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE- Bachelor's degree preferred or 5-7 years of construction safety experience
- Proven success with OSHA ratings, EMR, and loss-time record management
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with concrete placement safety preferred
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 + STSC certification required
- Additional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST) strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
