Full Job Description
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced roadway engineer in any of our Virginia, Maryland and DC office locations. Responsibilities include: - Serve as a design lead for department of transportation and/or municipal transportation improvement projects - Preparing/reviewing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway projects - Preparing construction documents including stamping finalized plans for roadway projects - Ensuring transportation group and Mead & Hunt policies and procedures are followed - Preparing task and contract technical and price proposals - Managing project and contracts deliverables, budget and schedules - Leading business development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region - Other civil engineering projects in other locations as needed Some travel will be required. The successful candidate must have all of the following: - A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university - A minimum of twelve (12) years of industry related experience - PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hire The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: - ORD Experience. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Leading roadway engineering projects - Project management - Mentoring project staff - Business development tasks (client relations, proposal development, etc.) If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
