What you will be doing: You'll be responsible for or coordinating and supervising the operation of the wellness center, in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions: 1. Plan, coordinate, and manage the daily clinical operations of the wellness center including direct supervision of LVNs
2. Provide staff training, input for evaluation of staff performance and implement departmental and personnel changes as approved by the health & wellness director, and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation.
3. Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the wellness center; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives.
4. Supervise and conduct coordinated health care for student and other health related programs.
5. Administer clinical nursing services functions, including scheduling of nurses for clinicals and coordinate student walk-in procedures.
6. Ensure that inventory of medical supplies is at efficient levels and maintain security provisions for drug, lab, and medical supplies.
7. Schedule new students for initial physical examinations, including required immunizations and eye examinations and any ensuing treatment as directed.
8. Coordinate health care for student pregnancy program.
9. Coordinate all phases of direct medical and OB/GYN services for students as necessary.
10. Coordinate in-service training in health-related areas for wellness center staff.
11. Coordinate with other center staff concerning wellness services.
Education and Experience Requirements: Nursing degree and a current RN license RN practice profession in the state of California. Three (3) years' experience in medical facility or other related nursing experience. Demonstrated ability to relate to and identify with specific needs of students.
