Senior Revenue Accountant

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of upstream oil and gas revenue accounting experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of revenue allocations and accounting for operated and non-operated properties.
• Hands-on experience with severance taxes and federal and state royalty reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with industry accounting platforms and electronic document management systems preferred.
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently and communicate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue accounting for oil and gas assets across multiple entities.
• Support monthly close through revenue calculations, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Review sales records and purchaser settlements, investigating differences and coordinating corrections.
• Prepare production-related tax filings and royalty reports, including federal ONRR and state submissions.
• Maintain supporting records for periodic withholding filings and year-end reconciliations.
• Produce financial reports and respond to inquiries about revenue and operating results.
• Support the accounting setup of additional assets and improve existing workflows.
• Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to resolve issues and meet reporting deadlines.
