Job Title: Senior Regional Director

Department: Hospital Services

Reports to: VP of Hospital and Family Services

Position Summary

The Senior Regional Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for clinical donation services within an assigned geographic region. This role drives regional performance, fosters alignment across teams, and champions process improvement in support of LOPA's mission and values. With a focus on regional accountability and collaboration, the Senior Regional Director directly manages Hospital Services Managers in each region, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational excellence across the donation process. As a key advisor to senior leadership, the Director cultivates a culture of inclusion, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provides vision and direction for departmental strategy aligned with LOPA's mission and long-term goals, driving innovation and collaborating with executive leadership on organization-wide initiatives.
  • Operational Management: Oversees day-to-day departmental operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality while managing budgets, policies, and systems that support optimal performance.
  • Talent & Culture Development: Builds and sustains a high-performing, inclusive team culture through mentoring, leadership development, and strategic workforce planning in partnership with HR.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as a departmental representative in executive and board- level discussions, fostering collaboration, alignment, and trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regional Operational Oversight: Oversees the execution of donation operations within an assigned region, including referral, authorization, donor management, and recovery processes. Drives performance through regular review of key metrics and ensures alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and internal standards. Partners with department leaders to support staff development, accountability, and consistency across the donation process. Develops region-specific initiatives to strengthen hospital relationships, increase donation opportunities, and ensure a high-quality donor experience. May participate in the Administrator on Call rotation and provide leadership and clinical support during high-volume periods.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Supports 24/7 operational readiness, participates in strategic planning forums, ensures compliance with required training and documentation, and performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical or healthcare-related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in clinical or healthcare operations. Leadership within organ or tissue recovery, or transplant setting preferred.

Work Environment & Expectations
  • Full-time, salaried position (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility as needed
  • May be required to take Administrator on Call (AOC) shifts.
  • May require after-hours availability and occasional travel
  • Office and clinical environments; occasional exposure to clinical materials
