Full Job Description
As a Senior Recruiter, Quantitative Research at Voleon, you will report to the Manager of Research Recruiting, and serve as a full-cycle recruiting expert responsible for building the Quantitative Research and Data Science investment teams at a leading AI/ML-driven quantitative asset management firm
- You will own the candidate experience end-to-end, from sourcing rich talent pipelines to closing exceptional candidates - all while acting as the primary recruiting partner to senior hiring managers
- You will work alongside internationally-recognized AI/ML researchers, seasoned finance and technology professionals, and a diverse, collaborative team, all within a competitive compensation structure
- This role is a means to make a difference: by identifying and attracting world-class talent, you will directly shape Voleon's ambitious next chapter in AI-powered investment management.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the firm's Research and Data Science leadership to support their hiring and growth efforts
- Ensure we're meeting our hiring goals in a sustainable and diligent manner
- Contribute to sourcing a rich pipeline of rarified (I.E. PhD-level) quantitative research talent
- Manage the offer process and develop effective closing strategies
- Own the candidate experience and make it a positive and memorable journey, even for candidates who do not join the firm
- Maintain and improve a high-performance recruiting process tuned to delivering outstanding quality of hire
- Develop, share, and compound market knowledge & insights around talent markets and effective recruiting practices
- Lead various projects to improve our recruiting efforts overall
Requirements
- At least five years of talent acquisition experience with demonstrated expertise in sourcing and full-cycle recruitment of investment research talent
- Experience recruiting PhD-level AI/ML Researcher and Data Science talent preferred
- Excellent client management skills with a history of developing customized, consultative relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Track record of making substantial contributions at the team level, including mentorship, process improvement, and contributions to institutional knowledge
- Eagerness to work with diverse, highly talented teams
- Bachelor's degree (a plus)
- Authorization to work in the United States
